About Us.

  • Alice Goodear.

    Alice was born in Adelaide, South Australia, but has been a Geelong local since she was 12 years old.

    After completing her VCE at The Geelong College in 2008, she graduated from La Trobe University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Health Science, Masters of Podiatric Practice. During her training she volunteered her podiatry services at the finish line of the Melbourne OXFAM Trailwalker helping participants with some of the most excruciating blisters and other foot issues.

    Alice has worked in the Geelong region as a podiatrist since early 2013 and absolutely loves her job, her town, and the memories she’s created here. In 2014, Alice was fortunate to be able to spend 12 months living and working in London, UK, to fulfil not only her travel dreams, but also her professional aspirations too. Outside of podiatry, Alice loves to take her young family to the beach, going on caravan adventures and creating photobooks.

    Alice is so passionate about podiatry and enjoys treating patients from all walks of life. In particular, she takes a keen interest in diabetes preventative foot care and education as well as ingrown toenail surgery.

  • Jessie Meiklejohn.

    Jessie is a true Geelong local, she grew up here and finished her schooling here too.

    Jessie attended La Trobe University where she obtained her Bachelor of Health Sciences and Masters of Podiatric Practice in 2012. Subsequently, she has worked in a major metropolitan hospital in Melbourne, a rural health service in Robinvale, a community health service in Western Melbourne before returning to Geelong in 2015 where she has worked at Barwon Health since. This experience has allowed Jessie to work with a wide range of patients and foot presentations.

    Jessie has also obtained her graduate certificate in diabetes education in 2017 after developing a keen interest in diabetes foot care, this has allowed her to develop a strong clinical knowledge in the area of diabetes and education.

    Outside of podiatry, Jessie enjoys spending quality time with her young family, pursuing creative projects and enjoying what the Geelong region has to offer.

    She is passionate about preventive foot care and collaborative planning with her patients to ensure their goals are in line with the care provided.
